TheCgiSite.com - A directory-style
resource for linking and reviewing everything related with programming.
There are literally hundreds of free/commercial scripts to download in
various popular languages, ranging from Perl and JavaScript to ASP and
C++. With easy navigation and great content, it certainly lives up to
its motto "The mother of all programming sites".

CGI 2 You - This is one of our favorite free CGI Web
sites. It's well-designed, easy to navigate and serves up some extremely
useful scripts. At CGI2You.com, a free counter, voters poll, message
board and guestbook are all provided free of charge, and they're hosted
remotely, as well. So you needn't have any knowledge of programming or
scripting. Just register, then add the code.
Matt's Script Archive - Matt's
Script Archive is without a doubt one of the most popular CGI
resource/download sites on the Internet. Matt has a fine collection of
useful scripts such as "simple search" (which allows users to search for
pages on your domain), form mail (sends the contents of a form to your
email address), free for all links (start your own FFA Links page) and
many more.
YourCGI.com
- With this nifty Web site, you needn't have a CGI-BIN directory to
enjoy the benefits of CGI (Common Gateway Interface). They host free CGI
scripts on their own servers, meaning those who are using free Web space
providers can benefit. All the scripts are fully customizable, run on
any Web server and have many other useful features and tools.
We recommend this service.
The CGI Resource Index
- Arguably the most visited site for free (and commercial) script
resources. Features a searchable directory of free Perl scripts, C++
scripts, links to remotely hosted CGI, documentations, books and even a
job advertisement section. Users can rate each script on a scale from
1-5 and leave brief messages for other visitors to read.
HotScripts.com
- The "Web Development Powerhouse" is much more than a directory of CGI
scripts. It contains links and reviews to every popular type of
programming language, such as Perl, Java, JavaScript, C and C++, PHP,
Python, ASP, XML and many others. We've found the site a breeze to
browse through, and there's plenty scripts here to see (over 10,000 in
over 900 categories).
ScriptSearch.com - Internet.com's
ScriptSearch is an excellent portal-style resource for everything CGI
and programming related. Their main categories include ASP code, Perl,
Java, XML plus others and are organized into a neat, searchable
directory. The Web site is updated regularly (usually every day) and
their newest additions are highlighted at the top of the page with a
"new' image/icon.
CGI - Works - As well as
providing commercial scripts, CGI Works features some freeware
downloads. The free Auto Rank script allows you to set up your own
topsite list. The HTML coding can be customized to suit the layout and
color scheme of your site. Other freeware scripts are currently under
development (AutoPost, AutoGallery etc) and should be fully functional
shortly. |
