Original Artwork - Always provide Tri-State Hosting and
Design with original artwork whenever possible. Do not
resize, crop, or alter images in anyway.
- Scans
and Digital Photographs - Always set scanners and
cameras to the highest resolution possible. This will
make larger images initially, but Tri-State Hosting and
Design will compress the images usually with better
results while maintaining higher quality.
- We use
industry standard formats when working with images and
documents. Original Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator files
are preferred for all graphics work. Large format TIFF
and EPS images are also accepted. Also accepted are JPG
and GIF images.
Text
Documents
PROOF READ AND SPELL CHECK YOUR DOCUMENTS - WE DON'T
All text
must be provided to Tri-State Hosting and Design in
electronic format. Plain text files are preferred. We also
accept Microsoft Word documents and Excel documents.
We will type your text for you if you provide hard copy
of any reports, documents, etc that you wish to have in
your website at no extra charge. We will write your web
copy for you for an additional fee.
Downtime - What to do if your site is down.
If your site is down due to a failure on the part of
Tri-State Hosting and Design or our services, Tri-State
Hosting and Design will credit the client for each day
the site is down at the clients current hosting rate,
only if the client requests to receive a credit and the
request must come within 7 days of the actual outage,
and the outage must be on the part of Tri-State Hosting
and Design, not on the side of the ISP.
If the
site is down due to problems with the clients ISP or
internet connection such as their dialup service, DSL,
cable modem, T1, or any backbone server or any other
type connection, Tri-State Hosting and Design is not
responsible in anyway and not required to assist the
client in getting reconnected.
Design Changes
If the client is having design work done of any
kind, Tri-State Hosting and Design will provide the
client with up to three design sessions within the
first 30 days. The client must complete changes and
send revisions back to Tri-State Hosting and Design
within 7 days after each session. After the third design
session Tri-State Hosting and Design will charge the
rate of $50 per hour. Design work is defined as logo,
homepage, graphics, or general layout work.
Flash® Changes
If the client is having Flash ®design work done of
any kind, Tri-State Hosting and Design will provide the
client with up to two design sessions within the
first 30 days. The client must complete changes and
send revisions back to Tri-State Hosting and Design
within 7 days after each session. All revisions must be
possible. Possible is defined as Flash techniques within
the capabilities of Tri-State Hosting and Design. After
the second design session Tri-State Hosting and Design
will charge the rate of $120 per hour. Flash design work
is any work that has to be done using either Macromedia
Flash or Adobe LiveMotion software.
Programming Changes
If the client is having programming work done of any
kind, Tri-State Hosting and Design will provide the
client with one design session within the first 14
days. For any additional programming Tri-State
Hosting and Design will charge the rate of $50 per hour.
Programming work is any work that has to be done using
any programming tools, databases or languages such as
perl, HTML, PHP, C, C++, ASP, Java, Javascript, CGI,
SQL, MySQL, or any other programming language not
mentioned here.
Who's In Charge
At the time of the contract, Tri-State Hosting and
Design and the client will establish a single point of
contact. All communication between Tri-State Hosting and
Design and the client will be with the single point of
contact for the client. If the client needs to change
the point of contact it must be submitted in writing
directly from the original point of contact or the
President or Owner of the clients business. No work or
changes will be done without written authorization from
the appropriate contact(s). This policy is to protect
your website and its content from unauthorized access.
Timeline
Once Tri-State Hosting and Design has published any
work, for public viewing or not, the client has 7 days
to submit corrections or changes. Corrections (mistakes
made by Tri-State Hosting and Design) will be done at no
charge. Changes will be done at no charge for the first
two changes (design work only, see specific number of
changes for Flash® and Programming above) and billed at
$50 per hour for additional changes.
Payment
Tri-State Hosting and Design accepts checks, money
orders, or cash. We do not accept credit card payment at
this time. Due to the environment of the internet it is
impossible to protect any material on the web once it
has been published. Therefore, all work must be paid for
in advance unless special arrangements are made.
If arrangements have been approved by Tri-State Hosting
and Design to split the payment into two halfs, the
first half is do at signing and the second half is due
prior to going live. No site will go live to the public
until 100% of the work has been paid for. Under no
circumstances will the first half of the design fee will
be refunded as long as Tri-State Hosting has performed
the work requested, even if the client does not approve
the work. This is due to the amount of time needed to
develop the various aspects of the project.
Monthly payments are due by the 1st of each month. A
late fee of $20 will be added for payments received
after the 1st of the month.
Shut off day
(for non-payment) is the 20th of each month. In order to
reestablish service there is a $150 reconnect fee.
Refunds
We offer a 30 day refund if you are not satisfied
with our work, however, the domain registration fee and
initial design fees are not refundable. Tri-State
Hosting and Design works with clients on a
month-to-month basis. Tri-State Hosting and Design and
clients are allowed to cancel service and the
relationship at any time. If additional work is
requested without a written contract, refunds will only
be given within 30 days of published date. Tri-State
Hosting and Design is not responsible if the client
fails to provide Tri-State Hosting and Design with
content, changes, images, text, or corrections.
Tri-State Hosting and Design is only responsible for
design, programming and hosting and not responsible for
content of the website, visitors, traffic, hits, sales,
or any part of the success of the web site or the
company or individual.
Flash Refunds
Tri-State Hosting and Design will not refund Flash
fees for any reason as Flash is a very intensive program
and all Flash work will be done by a third party.
Who Owns What
All artwork created by Tri-State Hosting is the sole
property of Tri-State Hosting and Design. Tri-State
Hosting is not responsible for storing or keeping
inventory of CD's and disks belonging to clients. Do not
give Tri-State Hosting your only copy of anything.
Tri-State Hosting is not responsible for materials
belonging to clients. Special arrangements can be made
to allow Tri-State Hosting created artwork to be used
for other purposes by the clients as long as the client
is in good standing with Tri-State Hosting. If the
client is past due in payments, or if the relationship
has ended, Tri-State Hosting and Design has no
responsibility to provide the client with anything.
Internet Connection
The client needs to have your own existing internet
connection and email account. Tri-State Hosting and
Design is not responsible for your internet
connection or for your email service. Tri-State Hosting
and Design servers can provide the client with email
aliasing and POP account services.
Email
Tri-State Hosting and Design does not provide any
email support other than configuration of email
forwarding and aliasing. The client will need to have
their own connection and email account prior to using
any of Tri-State Hosting and Design's email services.
Computer Hardware and Software
Tri-State Hosting and Design does provide support
for third party computer hardware and/or software at a
charge of $25 an hour, minimum of 1 hour.
In addition, Tri-State Hosting and Design uses PC's with
Windows ME or Windows 2000 and Apple Macintosh computers
to develop graphics and websites. Currently, the Windows
and Apple platform of these three products are similar,
but there are some interface and functionality
differences.
All websites are built to function with both Netscape
and Internet Explorer. Other browswers are not
supported.
Tri State Hosting and Design may change these
policies at any time without written warning.
